Upcoming Group Therapy Sessions:
4-Week Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Group for Teen Girls
Dates and Time: March 4, 11, 18, 25 (4 weeks) after school (exact time TBD)
In the first week, each participant will have a 30-minute individual virtual pre-session to build rapport, assess their needs, and set personal goals. This session will introduce Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and outline the skills covered in the group. Participants will be encouraged to reflect on what would make the group most helpful for them. They will also receive a personal journal to track their progress throughout the program.
In the final week, each participant will have a 30-minute individual virtual post-session to reflect on their progress, challenges, and the skills they found most helpful. This session will also focus on ways to continue practicing DBT skills beyond the group for long-term growth. Participants will receive a personalized DBT resource packet to support their ongoing journey.
Ages: Teen girls (14-17)
Fee: $450 total (includes all materials & personalized DBT resource packet).
Eligible for insurance reimbursement. Participants will receive a receipt for Social Work benefits by a Masters level Social Worker.

Week 1: Mindfulness & Self-Awareness
Objective: Introduce mindfulness as a foundation for emotional regulation.
Week 2: Distress Tolerance – Handling Big Emotions
Objective: Learn strategies to manage intense emotions without making situations worse.
Week 3: Emotion Regulation – Understanding & Managing Feelings
Objective: Develop skills to label, understand, and regulate emotions effectively.
Week 4: Interpersonal Effectiveness – Boundaries & Communication
Objective: Help teens visually explore their personal boundaries in relationships.

The group will focus on practical, hands-on activities to build skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. The approach is supportive, non-judgmental, and engaging, meeting teens where they are at.

After each session, parents will receive an email with a summary of what was covered in group, along with recommendations on how they can support their teen at home. While confidentiality is a core part of this group, please note that if there are safety concerns, such as risk of harm to self or others, appropriate steps will be taken to ensure the teen's well-being. The emails will focus on reinforcing skills rather than disclosing specific personal discussions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.

These workshops are available anytime—just schedule a session at your convenience. We offer flexible options, including virtual sessions, in-person workshops at our office, or on-site sessions where we come to you.
Fee: $50 per employee (minimum of 10 participants).
For smaller companies or non-profits, we’re happy to work out a lower rate to accommodate your budget.
